Beloved Bethesda voice actor Wes Johnson, known for his roles in Skyrim, Fallout 3, Starfield, and numerous other titles, is critically ill. His family has launched a GoFundMe campaign to help cover his mounting medical expenses and living costs while he's unable to work.
According to a PC Gamer report, Johnson's wife, Kim, and family discovered him unconscious and barely alive in his hotel room after he failed to appear at a charity event in Atlanta. Emergency responders had difficulty finding a pulse.
The GoFundMe page, which initially set a goal of $50,000, has already surpassed that target significantly, raising over $144,791 from nearly 2,200 donors.
Beyond his extensive video game voice acting career with Bethesda, Johnson has also served as the public address announcer for the Washington Capitals for 25 years and boasts a diverse resume in film and television. His memorable video game roles include Ron Hope in Starfield, Sheogorath and Lucien Lachance in Oblivion, multiple Daedric Princes in Morrowind, Fawkes and Maister Burke in Fallout 3, Hermaeus Mora and Emperor Titus Mede II in Skyrim, and Moe Cronin in Fallout 4, among many others. The outpouring of support from fans underscores the profound impact he's had on the gaming community.
