How To Join the Baldur’s Gate 3 Stress Test & Try Crossplay

Crossplay is finally coming to Baldur's Gate 3! Patch 8, slated for release sometime in 2025, will introduce this highly anticipated feature. Before the full launch, however, Larian Studios is conducting a Patch 8 Stress Test in January 2025. This allows select players to experience crossplay and other new features early, helping identify and fix potential bugs.

When will crossplay be available?

While a precise release date for Patch 8 is unavailable, the stress test in January 2025 will give a select group of players early access to the crossplay functionality.

How to Sign Up for the Patch 8 Stress Test:

To participate in the stress test and potentially try crossplay early, register via Larian's Stress Test Registration form. A Larian account is required. The registration process is simple and involves providing basic information, including your preferred gaming platform (PC, PlayStation, or Xbox).

Important Note: Registration doesn't guarantee selection. Those chosen will receive an email with further instructions. Selected participants can provide feedback through dedicated forms and Discord channels.

The stress test isn't just about crossplay. It will also assess the compatibility of the new patch with various mods. Mod users are encouraged to sign up to ensure their favorite mods remain functional after the update.
