The culinary-themed RPG adventure management game, *The Tale of Food*, where players command an army of personified dishes, is set to shut down. Initially launched for a closed beta in China in September 2019 and later distributed by Tencent Games, the game is now facing its final days. Here’s everything you need to know about the impending closure of *The Tale of Food*.
Mark your calendars: *The Tale of Food* will officially shut down on March 20th, 2025, at 10:00 AM (UTC+8). As of today, February 18th, 2025, in-game purchases have been disabled. Additionally, new player registrations have been halted, and the game has been removed from the Google Play Store. However, if you already have the game installed, you can continue playing until the servers close on March 20th.
If you purchased any jewels between January 9th and February 18th, 2025, you're eligible for a refund. You can request a refund by contacting in-game support or emailing the developers before March 20th. For more detailed information, check the terms and conditions on the official X account of *The Tale of Food*.
It's worth noting that the game’s Japan server closed in April 2023, followed by the China server in June 2024. Now, the global version is the next to go.
As your journey as the Food God’s child, managing a world filled with dumplings and sophisticated seafood, comes to an end, remember that the official X (formerly Twitter), Facebook, and Discord communities will remain active. These platforms will continue to serve as spaces for players to reminisce and share their memories of the game.
In the meantime, stay tuned for our next article on *The Year of the Raptor* for Hearthstone, which promises to bring a plethora of exciting new content!
