Blizzard Unveils WoW Housing Details

In 2025, World of Warcraft will finally introduce its highly anticipated housing system, and Blizzard has unveiled initial details. The developers assure players that homes will be accessible to everyone, regardless of skill level, wealth, or participation in lotteries. Crucially, your home won't be lost due to lapsed subscriptions. This exciting feature is slated for full release with the Midnight expansion.

Initially, players can select a plot in one of two distinct zones: Elwynn Forest (for the Alliance), incorporating elements from Westfall and Duskwood, or Durotar (for the Horde), featuring aspects of Azshara and the Durotar coastline.

Each zone will be divided into districts, each housing approximately 50 homes. Players can choose to settle in a public area or establish a private community with friends and guildmates. A wide array of customization options will be available, with most obtainable in-game, and some offered through the in-game shop.

Blizzard emphasizes three core principles guiding the housing system: extensive customization, robust social interaction, and enduring longevity. Further details on the housing system will be revealed in the future, and Blizzard encourages player feedback in the meantime.
