Call of Duty Update: New Tracking Feature In Development

Treyarch is developing a highly anticipated in-game challenge tracker for Call of Duty: Black Ops 6. This feature, absent from the initial release despite its presence in 2023's Modern Warfare 3, is currently under development. While a release date remains unannounced, its arrival is expected soon, potentially coinciding with the upcoming Season 2 content drop later this month.

A recent January 9th update addressed several bugs affecting the game's UI and audio, and boosted XP rewards for the Red Light, Green Light multiplayer mode. Significantly, Treyarch also reversed a controversial Zombies mode change from January 3rd, restoring the original round timing and zombie spawn mechanics in Directed Mode following player feedback.

Challenge Tracking Feature Confirmed

Treyarch confirmed the challenge tracker's development via Twitter, responding to a fan request. The feature's inclusion is highly sought after, especially by players pursuing Mastery camos. Functionality is expected to mirror Modern Warfare 3, providing real-time challenge progress updates within the in-game UI.

Additional Improvements on the Horizon

Beyond challenge tracking, Treyarch also confirmed the development of separate HUD settings for Multiplayer and Zombies modes, addressing player concerns about frequent HUD adjustments between game modes. Both features are actively being worked on.
