The update introduces the "Khorovod" event, featuring unique tasks and rewards, and a special game mode where players must light and protect a Christmas tree in six different locations.

A major addition is the Prestige system, inspired by games like Call of Duty. After reaching level 55, completing specific quests, and accumulating sufficient resources, players can reset their character, retaining some equipment and earning prestige-exclusive rewards like achievements, cosmetics, and additional tasks. Currently, two prestige levels are available, with eight more planned.

Other significant changes include:

  • Engine Upgrade: Transition to the Unity 2022 engine.
  • Frostbite Effect: A new status effect reducing vision and stamina when characters catch cold; mitigated by alcohol, warmth, and shelter.
  • Winter Theming: Winter-themed enhancements and map adjustments.
  • Customs Map Rework: Updated textures, new objects, and points of interest.
  • New Weapons: Seven new weapons, including two assault rifles and a rocket launcher.
  • Hidden Exfiltration Points: Secret escape routes requiring special items.
  • New Questline: A new quest chain involving a BTR Driver.
  • Hideout Customization: Expanded hideout customization options.
  • Continuous Healing: The introduction of continuous healing mechanics.
  • Recoil Balancing: Recoil adjustments and visual improvements.
  • Balance Changes and Fixes: Numerous balance adjustments and bug fixes.

The update also coincides with the usual Escape from Tarkov wipe, meaning players will have a fresh start and plenty to explore once the servers are live.
