Fortnite Brings Back Rare Superhero Skin After More Than a Year

After over a year's absence, the highly anticipated Wonder Woman skin has returned to the Fortnite item shop. This isn't just the skin itself; the Athena's Battleaxe pickaxe and Golden Eagle Wings glider have also made a comeback, available individually or as a discounted bundle.

Epic Games' Fortnite consistently features exciting crossovers, collaborating with diverse franchises from pop culture and beyond. Recent examples include partnerships with clothing brands like Nike and Air Jordan, adding to the game's already extensive roster of superhero skins from DC and Marvel. These collaborations often coincide with new movie releases, sometimes even incorporating unique gameplay elements. Previous iterations of characters, such as "The Batman Who Laughs" and "Rebirth Harley Quinn," have further enriched the superhero offerings.

The Wonder Woman skin's return, confirmed by prominent Fortnite leaker HYPEX after a 444-day hiatus (last seen in October 2021), is priced at 1,600 V-Bucks, with the complete bundle available for 2,400 V-Bucks. This follows a December resurgence of other popular DC skins, including Starfire and Harley Quinn, alongside the introduction of Japanese-themed variants for Batman and Harley Quinn in Chapter 6 Season 1.

This renewed focus on DC characters arrives as Fortnite's new competitive season, with its Japanese theme, continues to unfold. This includes the temporary return of Dragon Ball skins and the upcoming arrival of a Godzilla skin, with rumors of a Demon Slayer crossover also circulating. The Wonder Woman skin's return provides fans another opportunity to acquire cosmetics for this iconic female superhero.
