by Nathan Jan 14,2025

  • Steeled Resolve will take place from January 21st to 26th
  • Rookidee, Corvisquire, and Corviknight will make their debuts
  • Go Battle Week will go live as well

Niantic has just unveiled the latest event in Pokémon Go, this time bringing Steeled Resolve to the fray. Between January 21st and 26th, you will be able to get your hands on numerous encounters while completing challenges. Pokémon from the Galar region - in particular, Rookidee, Corvisquire, and Corviknight - will make their debuts, so keep an eye out to catch these new additions.

The Steeled Resolve event in Pokémon Go also kicks off a new chapter of the Dual Destiny Special Research. By completing tasks, you can earn rewards like Fast and Charged TMs, a Lucky Egg, and more. This Special Research is available for free until March 4th, so there’s plenty of time to complete your tasks.

Throughout the event, Magnetic Lure Modules will attract various Pokémon, including Onix, Beldum, and the newly introduced Rookidee. In addition, Shadow Pokémon can forget the Charged Attack Frustration by using a Charged TM, providing a strategic advantage in your battles. And for some freebies, you can redeem these Pokémon Go codes!

As for the wild encounters, you’ll find Pokémon like Clefairy, Machop, and Paldean Wooper. Meanwhile, this event also features a mix of one-star and five-star raids, where you might encounter Pokémon like Lickitung, Skorupi, and even Deoxys in different forms. Finally, Mega Raids will be spearheaded by Mega Gallade and Mega Medicham.

Egg hunters aren’t forgotten either as Steeled Resolve will feature Shieldon and Rookidee hatching from eggs. Event-themed Field Research tasks will reward you with items and encounters, while Timed Research, priced at $5, will offer additional perks like 2x Hatch Stardust and encounters with Galarian Weezing and Clodsire.

To top it off, the Go Battle Week: Dual Destiny will also be live, where you can enjoy bonuses like 4x Stardust from win rewards and an increased number of sets per day. Leagues like the Great League and Ultra League will be active, so you have a variety of battle options.
