Nvidia Unveils RTX 50 Series GPUs with DLSS 4 and Multi-Frame Generation at CES 2025

Nvidia's CES 2025 keynote unveiled the RTX 50 series GPUs, codenamed Blackwell, featuring groundbreaking DLSS 4 technology with Multi-Frame Generation. This new feature promises significant FPS boosts, with 75 games confirmed for immediate support upon launch. While initially exclusive to the RTX 50 series, Nvidia confirmed that enhanced DLSS features (Frame Generation, Ray Reconstruction, and DLAA) will also be rolled out to older RTX 40 series cards via future driver updates.

The RTX 50 series boasts impressive specs, with the flagship RTX 5090 (32GB GDDR7, $1999 MSRP) showcasing a dramatic FPS increase in titles like Cyberpunk 2077 – jumping from under 30 FPS (with ray tracing and DLSS/MFG off) to 236 FPS (with DLSS 4 and Multi-Frame Generation enabled). Other models include the RTX 5080 ($999), RTX 5070 Ti ($749), and RTX 5070 ($549).

The initial 75 games supporting DLSS 4 and Multi-Frame Generation include a diverse range of titles, spanning various genres:

  • AAA Titles: Cyberpunk 2077, Diablo 4, God of War Ragnarok, Hogwarts Legacy, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, Marvel Rivals, Microsoft Flight Simulator, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl, etc.
  • Indie Gems: A Quiet Place: The Road Ahead, Backrooms: Escape Together, Deliver Us Mars, Ghostrunner 2, Layers of Fear, etc.
