Hot to Get Tier II/Fine Weapons and Armor in Avowed

by Nicholas Mar 15,2025

In Avowed, upgrading your weapons is crucial for survival. Early game encounters feature Common (Level I) weapons and enemies. However, the difficulty quickly escalates to Level II, demanding Fine (Level II) gear. Here's how to acquire and upgrade to Tier II/Fine weapons and armor.

Upgrading Weapons and Armor from Common (I) to Fine (II)

While some Fine Quality weapons and armor can be found or purchased, others require upgrading. Avowed uses a two-part system to track gear effectiveness: Quality (indicated by descriptor, color, and Roman numeral) and Enhancement Levels (+1 to +3). Common (Green, I) gear needs upgrading to Fine (Blue, II).

To upgrade, visit a Party Camp workbench. Each enhancement level (+1 to +3) requires specific materials. After reaching +3, you can upgrade to Fine (II) using Adra, a rare crystal obtained from quests, merchants, or by dismantling Unique gear.

Upgrading is resource-intensive. Alternatively, you can find Fine (II) weapons and armor early in Dawnshore, though it's rare. Level II enemies, especially Bounties, may drop Fine gear. However, Common gear is significantly less effective against Level II enemies, so carry ample health potions.

Merchants in Paradis also sell Fine (II) gear. Access to Paradis is granted after defeating the Dreamscourge bear boss in Dawnshore. Two sisters operate nearby shops; Merlylin sells magical items (grimoires, wands), while her blacksmith sister sells standard weapons and armor (pictured above).

This covers acquiring Fine weapons and armor in Avowed.
