In the competitive multiplayer arena of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, countless final kills are captured and shared online, showcasing players' impressive skills. However, few are as remarkable as this one.
The Ricochet Blades, unique ammunition for the D1.3 Sector secondary weapon, introduced during the controversial Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles event, quickly became a topic of conversation due to their unpredictable, bouncing trajectory.
Player kev99gh captured and shared an incredible final kill in a hardcore Search and Destroy match on the Lowtown map. The clip shows a Ricochet Blade, affectionately nicknamed a "pizza" by the community, bouncing out of the map, then back in, for a one-hit kill on an unsuspecting enemy peeking from a window.
Longest ricochet blade ever. Bounced a pizza out of the map. Final kill cam.

kev99gh's astonishing feat might be the longest Ricochet Blade kill ever recorded, considering the blade's journey outside the map's boundaries. The video shows kev99gh lining up the shot, firing blindly, and then switching to the overhead map view to track the blade's improbable path as it arcs along the map's edge before returning to eliminate the enemy.
Such elaborate, seemingly improbable trick shots aren't purely luck. Redditor SpawnTubing, who posted kev99gh's clip, explained that the Black Ops 6 community actively "look for and practice common camping spots." Commenters also noted the impeccable timing, as the enemy player peeked precisely as the "pizza" flew through the window—a scenario familiar to many Black Ops 6 players.
The Ricochet Blades have clearly sparked a new meta, with numerous, albeit less spectacular, bounce-kill clips surfacing online. Some kills, like the one below, involve multiple bounces before finding their target.

However, not all players are thrilled. Many find the bouncing blades frustrating and annoying. These critics will be less than pleased with Treyarch's recent buff to the Ricochet Blades' physics and bounce speed, resulting in a guaranteed one-hit kill on contact. Here's the relevant patch note:
D1.3 Sector
Our initial design for the D1.3 Sector Ricochet Blades revolved around quickly launching many high-speed blades, meant to perform best blind firing into enclosed spaces. We have been following your feedback and agree that, in practice, the use cases for this ammo type are too low. The Ricochet Blades will now do 100 damage to enable one-hit kills, and to compensate we are lowering the fire rate and projectile speed. We think the popularity of this ammo type will see some new interest with these changes and look forward to seeing more of your cross-map killcams in MP.
Ricochet Blades
With Season 3 and the anticipated return of Verdansk to Warzone on the horizon, the reign of the Ricochet Blades looks set to intensify.
