Marvel Update: Season 1 Balance Adjustments Unveiled

Marvel Rivals Season 1: Dracula, Fantastic Four, and Balance Adjustments

NetEase Games unveiled a developer update outlining significant changes arriving in Marvel Rivals' Season 1: Eternal Night Falls, launching January 10th at 1 AM PST. This season introduces Dracula as the primary antagonist and welcomes the Fantastic Four to the playable roster. Mister Fantastic and the Invisible Woman debut on launch day, with Human Torch and The Thing joining the fray six to seven weeks later.

The Season 1 battle pass, priced at 990 Lattice (approximately $10), offers ten skins and rewards players with 600 Lattice and 600 Units upon completion. Three new maps and a fresh game mode, "Doom Match," further enhance the gameplay experience.

Significant balance adjustments are also in store. Hela and Hawkeye, previously dominant forces, will receive nerfs to address their overwhelming power in higher-ranked matches. Conversely, mobility-focused Vanguards like Captain America and Venom will receive buffs to boost their effectiveness in aggressive playstyles.

Further balance tweaks include buffs for Wolverine and Storm, encouraging more strategic utilization of these mutant heroes. Cloak and Dagger also receive enhancements to improve their versatility within various team compositions. Adjustments to Jeff the Land Shark are planned to better align his early warning indicators with his ultimate's actual hitbox. While Jeff's ultimate's power level has been a point of discussion, NetEase Games hasn't detailed specific changes to it at this time.

The developer update remained silent on adjustments to the Seasonal Bonus feature, a point of contention among players. Season 1 promises a wealth of new content and balance refinements, generating considerable excitement among the player base.
