With the February 27th release date fast approaching, Capcom showcased Monster Hunter Wilds' launch trailer during PlayStation's 2025 State of Play. A surprise roadmap at the trailer's conclusion detailed planned post-launch content.

Title Update 1 introduces the fan-favorite Mizutsune, a dragon-type monster inhabiting aquatic areas. Its bubble-based attacks inflict Bubbleblight, a debilitating status ailment. Mizutsune's distinctive pink scales and purple fur also yield highly sought-after gear.

Trailer footage shows Mizutsune ambushing the newcomer Doshaguma, suggesting a familiar moveset. Its in-game location remains undisclosed.

The update also includes new Event Quests, accessible via the in-game Mission Board. These quests reward players for defeating monsters. The exact number of Event Quests is currently unannounced.

Finally, additional updates are planned for the Spring update, though specifics are yet to be revealed. These may include optimizations or performance patches, crucial for Monster Hunter Wilds' success. Positive beta test feedback suggests a smooth launch.
