The publisher's initiative reflects Owlcat's commitment to enriching the gaming landscape with compelling stories. They seek partnerships with studios sharing their passion for immersive narratives, providing the resources and expertise needed to bring these visions to fruition. This represents a significant broadening of Owlcat's influence within the gaming community.

Owlcat's Publishing Portfolio Takes Shape

Owlcat has already partnered with two promising development teams:

  • Emotion Spark Studio (Serbia): Developing Rue Valley, a narrative RPG centered around a protagonist trapped in a time loop within a remote town. The game explores themes of mental health and personal growth as the character unravels the mystery.

  • Another Angle Games (Poland): Creating Shadow of the Road, an isometric RPG set in an alternate feudal Japan. This title blends samurai culture, tactical turn-based combat, magical yokai, and steampunk technology, promising a unique blend of narrative and strategic gameplay.

Both Rue Valley and Shadow of the Road are in early development, with further details expected soon. Owlcat plans to provide regular updates as these projects progress, offering glimpses into the worlds and stories they are creating.

Owlcat's foray into publishing marks a new era for the company, fostering diverse storytelling and contributing to the evolution of the gaming industry. This initiative will not only highlight emerging talent but also enrich the selection of narrative-driven games available globally.
