Get ready to celebrate the start of 2025 in Pokémon GO! The annual New Year's event returns, running from December 30th, 2024 to January 1st, 2025. Expect themed bonuses, exciting Pokémon encounters, and plenty of ways to ring in the new year in style. This follows the December 21st-22nd Community Day event featuring returning Community Day Pokémon.

This New Year's event offers a fantastic opportunity to earn 2,025 XP for every Pokémon caught with an Excellent Throw. Immerse yourself in the festive atmosphere with celebratory decorations and fireworks illuminating the skies.

Expect boosted appearances of festive Pokémon! Keep an eye out for Jigglypuff with a ribbon, Hoothoot in a New Year's outfit, and Wurmple sporting a party hat. Shiny versions of these Pokémon will also have increased encounter rates.

Raids receive a festive makeover too! One-star raids feature a snowflake-hat-wearing Pikachu, while three-star raids bring party-hat-adorned Raticate and Wobbuffet. All three boast increased Shiny rates.
