Ubisoft recently unveiled Rainbow Six Siege X, not as a new game, but as a significant upgrade to the existing Rainbow Six Siege. This major overhaul, announced February 17th, 2025, will be showcased in detail on March 13th, 2025.

March 2025 Showcase:

The Rainbow Six Siege X showcase, taking place March 13th, 2025, at 10:00 am PDT / 1:00 pm EDT in Atlanta, Georgia, promises a deep dive into the game's transformative changes. Attendees can purchase a $10 ticket including an exclusive shirt and in-game cosmetic pack, but must meet eligibility requirements (US/Canada resident, 18+, and a good standing Rainbow Six Siege account). A VIP package giveaway, including travel and accommodation, is also available to two lucky US/Canada residents.

The update boasts "new ways to play, deepened tactical gameplay, refined game feel, and major upgrades." Specific details will be revealed during the March showcase.

10th Anniversary & Season 1: Operation Prep Phase:

Celebrating its 10th anniversary (originally released December 1st, 2015), Rainbow Six Siege will launch Season 10, "Operation Prep Phase," on March 4th, 2025. This season introduces Aurora, a new operator with deployable bulletproof doors, a new elite skin for Aruni, and a revamped reputation system.

Given the timing, the major Siege X upgrades will likely be implemented to live servers at a later date following the showcase. This substantial update aims to extend the lifespan of this long-running live-service shooter.
