Marvel's Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man, the Disney+ animated series chronicling Peter Parker's freshman year, has received early renewals for both Season 2 and Season 3.
Brad Winderbaum, Marvel Studios' head of streaming, television, and animation, revealed in an interview with The Movie Podcast that Season 2's scripts are complete, with storyboards already half-finished, even before Season 1 premieres on January 29th. Season 3 is also officially greenlit.
Winderbaum expressed his enthusiasm, stating, "I've fallen so head over heels in love with these characters...we're halfway through the animatics." He highlighted the show's carefully crafted narrative, promising increasing depth and payoff in subsequent seasons.

While Winderbaum confirmed upcoming meetings with lead writer Jeff Trammell to discuss Season 3's direction, release dates for both Season 2 and 3 remain undisclosed.
The series follows Peter Parker's high school adventures as he develops his superpowers. Whether the subsequent seasons will chronologically follow his sophomore and junior years, or explore alternative storylines within his freshman year, remains to be seen.
