It Takes Two, Hazelight Studios' 2021 masterpiece, achieved phenomenal success, winning numerous accolades, including "Game of the Year," and selling over 20 million units globally. Its unique cooperative gameplay resonated deeply with players worldwide.
Naturally, fans clamored for a sequel. However, Hazelight has consistently prioritized innovation over sequels. In a recent interview, Josef Fares, the studio's founder, stated that if forced to choose a game for a sequel, It Takes Two would be his selection. He cryptically added, "Who knows what the future holds? Never say never."
While no official It Takes Two 2 announcement exists, Hazelight is currently dedicated to finishing their next game, Split Fiction. Despite this, Fares' remarks have ignited anticipation amongst fans. Although specifics are limited, the considerable interest in a potential sequel is undeniable. Fans eagerly await further news from Hazelight Studios.
