TennoCon 2024 lifts the veil on the hotly anticipated Warframe: 1999

Warframe's TennoCon 2024 delivered a blockbuster announcement: Warframe: 1999! This massive update plunges players into a retro-futuristic 1999, battling a Y2K-fueled Techrot virus in the neon-drenched city of Höllvania.

A prologue quest, "The Lotus Eaters," arrives in August 2024, reuniting players with a beloved character and setting the stage for the main event's winter 2024 release. This prologue introduces Sevatgoth Prime and their unique weaponry. Completing "The Lotus Eaters" is a prerequisite for accessing Warframe: 1999.

Explore Höllvania on the new Atomicyles, futuristic vehicles enabling bullet jumps, drifts, and explosive maneuvers. Command a team of six heroes, the Hex, each wielding a Protoframe – a Warframe showcasing the human beneath. Meet Arthur (Excalibur), Aoi (Mag), and Quincy (the new CYTE-09 Warframe, also coming to the Origin system).

The Hex's voice cast includes Alpha Takahashi, Ben Starr, Melissa Medina, and Amelia Tyler. Interact with them via in-game instant messaging for a truly 90s experience.

Confront the ultimate 90s antagonist: On-lyne, a Technocyte-infected boy band fronted by Zeke (voiced by Nick Apostolides). Their infectious hit single, "Party of Your Lifetime," is available on streaming services.

Fashion takes center stage with enhanced customization. Dual fashion frame loadouts and Gemini Skins allow players to bring the Protoframes (and their fully voiced lines) to the Origin System.

Beyond Warframe: 1999, Digital Extremes is collaborating with THE LINE on an anime short, launching later this year. Heirloom skins for Ember (available now) and Rhino (early 2025) are also on the horizon.
