Black Ops 6 & Warzone Event Pass: A Comprehensive Guide

Call of Duty's live-service model has introduced various reward systems, including the popular Battle Pass. Black Ops 6 and Warzone now feature the Event Pass, a supplementary progression system for limited-time events, offering both free and premium tiers with unique cosmetic rewards.

What is the Event Pass?

The Event Pass offers 10 free and 10 premium rewards, themed around each event. The premium tier costs 1,100 CoD Points (the same price as the base Battle Pass) and unlocks additional cosmetics. XP earned in-game unlocks rewards, with a Mastery Reward (often a new weapon or Operator) awarded upon completion. Unlike previous systems relying on challenges, the Event Pass streamlines reward acquisition. Double XP weekends and tokens significantly accelerate progress.

Is the Premium Event Pass Worth It?

The premium Event Pass is a worthwhile investment for players who consistently complete the Battle Pass and are comfortable with additional in-game spending. The free tier allows assessment before upgrading. However, rewards are purely cosmetic.

The decision hinges on the value placed on event-exclusive content. Collectors or those aiming for complete event participation might find it beneficial. Conversely, players who rarely finish the Battle Pass or prefer store bundles should prioritize saving CoD Points.

The 1,100 CoD Point price tag, added to the Battle Pass and other premium options (2,400-3,000 CoD Points), has sparked debate. Exclusive collaborations, like the Squid Game event, often lock desirable content (e.g., themed Operators) behind paywalls, limiting free-to-play access.

Before purchasing, carefully consider if a specific reward justifies the cost (approximately $10 / £8.39) compared to other in-game or external purchases.
