CHESS TACTICS TRAINING

Enhance your tactical prowess with over 100,000 chess puzzles designed to sharpen your skills. The app includes both winning and defensive problem types, catering to a wide range of tactical scenarios. Premium members benefit from custom sets tailored to their weaknesses, such as:

• Sets focusing on specific tactical motifs like pins, forks, and discovered attacks.
• Sets based on your past mistakes, allowing you to practice until you get it right.
• Sets utilizing a spaced repetition learning algorithm, prioritizing problems you struggle with.

Please note, while these custom sets can be used on the app, they must be created on the Chesstempo.com website first.

PLAY ONLINE

Engage in chess battles against other Chesstempo users, with options for both live and correspondence games. After each rated game, receive a detailed post-game analysis powered by our cluster of hundreds of Stockfish instances, ensuring high-quality insights in just seconds. Premium members can further their learning by having tactics problems extracted from their games, which are then available for solving in the tactics training interface through advanced custom sets.

OPENING TRAINING

Develop your opening game by creating multiple black and white repertoires. You can import these from PGN files or by entering moves on the board. Utilize spaced repetition to reinforce your learning, with the option to focus on a branch, a single repertoire, or all repertoires of a color. Customize your training depth and target moves that are challenging to master. Enhance your understanding by adding comments, engine evaluations, and annotations to each move. Export your repertoires, along with your comments and annotations, to PGN format. Track your progress with graphs displaying your learning status and history. Use the opening explorer to select moves (limited to 10 moves deep for free members). Premium members can leverage our cloud engine for in-depth analysis of any position.

ENDGAME TRAINING

Hone your endgame skills with practice from 3 to 7-piece positions derived from real games, with over 14,000 unique scenarios. Free members get access to 2 positions daily, while premium members enjoy more positions and the ability to use custom sets targeting specific endgame types, recurring mistakes, or utilizing spaced repetition. Some of these custom sets need to be created on the Chesstempo website before using them on the app.

GUESS THE MOVE

Improve your game by playing through master games and earning scores based on how closely your moves match those of the masters.

ANALYSIS BOARD

Utilize our cloud engines for in-depth position analysis, a feature exclusive to premium members. This allows for high-quality analysis without draining your device's battery. Diamond members can request up to 8 analysis threads, significantly increasing the number of positions analyzed per second. Set up positions using FEN or the board editor and analyze completed tactics problems to gain a deeper understanding of the solutions.
