Damasi Rules

• Board Setup: Played on an 8×8 board, each player starts with 16 men arranged in two rows, leaving the back row empty.
• Movement: Men move forward or sideways one square and capture by jumping over an opponent's piece, landing on the square beyond. Men cannot move backwards. Upon reaching the back row, a man is promoted to a king, which can move any number of squares in any direction (forward, backward, or sideways).
• Capturing: Captures are mandatory and must be made if possible. If multiple captures are available, the player must choose the sequence that captures the most pieces. Both men and kings count as one piece during capture.
• Game End: The game ends when a player has no legal moves left, either due to all pieces being captured or being completely blocked, resulting in a win for the opponent.
• Unique Capture Rule: Unlike other draughts variants, pieces are removed immediately after being jumped, allowing for the possibility of crossing the same square more than once in a single capturing sequence. However, turning 180 degrees between two captures within a multi-capture is not allowed.
