"2016 Clue Mobile Update: New Suspects Added"

Marmalade Game Studio has just released the 2016 Suspects Pack for the digital version of Clue, also known as Cluedo. If you're a fan of this classic murder-mystery game, you'll be thrilled to dive back into the action with some of the iconic characters from the 2016 version.

Who Are the 2016 Clue aka Cluedo Suspects?

The pack introduces the beloved characters: Miss Scarlet, Colonel Mustard, Reverend Green, Professor Plum, Dr. Orchid, and Mrs. Peacock. This new addition is all about these characters, giving you the flexibility to integrate them into any scenario you wish, without being tied to a specific crime scene or case file.

The game now offers the freedom to select your nostalgic favorite and immerse yourself in the mystery. What's more, you can even mix these classic characters with the newer 2023 cast to create your perfect game setup.

Fans of the 2016 version have been vocal about wanting these characters back, especially after the introduction of the 2023 characters, which some felt were too modern. It's great to see Marmalade Game Studio responding to fan feedback with this new pack.

There’s More Coming to the Game!

In addition to the 2016 Suspects Pack, Clue aka Cluedo is introducing a new game mode: the Retro Rules Set. This mode, available for free, allows you to play by the original 1949 rules, bringing back nostalgic gameplay mechanics.

The Retro Rules Set includes changes such as tokens starting at specific spots on the board, with Miss Scarlet always taking the first move—unless she's absent, in which case Colonel Mustard steps in. Accusations can only be made while in a room, and Clue Cards are omitted entirely. Additionally, you can't move through squares occupied by other players, adding a strategic layer to the game.
