Acclaimed Point-and-Click Detective Returns with Sequel

Akupara Games has recently released a flurry of titles. Following our coverage of the deck-builder Zoeti, we now turn our attention to the puzzle game The Darkside Detective, and its sequel, The Darkside Detective: A Fumble in the Dark (both available simultaneously!).

A Glimpse into the Darkside Detective Universe

The game opens on a bleak, fog-laden night in Twin Lakes – a town where the strange, supernatural, and utterly absurd are commonplace. The protagonists are Detective Francis McQueen and his endearing, if occasionally bumbling, partner Officer Patrick Dooley.

Together, they form the Darkside Division, a perpetually underfunded unit within the Twin Lakes Police Department. Players will solve nine short, engaging cases, delving into the hilarious and bizarre world of The Darkside Detective and its equally witty sequel.

These point-and-click adventures present a diverse range of challenges, from time-travel puzzles and monstrous tentacles to uncovering carnival secrets and battling mafia zombies. See the action for yourself in the trailer below!

Ready to Investigate? ---------------------------

The game is a vibrant tribute to pop culture, brimming with references to classic horror films, science fiction series, and buddy cop movies. Case titles alone are intriguing: Malice in Wonderland, Tome Alone, Disorient Express, Police Farce, Don of the Dead, Buy Hard, and Baits Motel.

The game's exceptional humor permeates every pixel. The Darkside Detective is available on the Google Play Store for $6.99. Interestingly, A Fumble in the Dark can be enjoyed independently of its predecessor, also available on Google Play.
