Starting a new game can be daunting, especially when deciding on the best character build. Respeccing is a fantastic feature in *Avowed* that allows you to tweak your character if you're not enjoying their current setup. I initially tried going full wizard, but after getting overwhelmed, I switched to a spellsword. As you progress, you might find yourself wanting to respec to optimize your combat effectiveness and achieve your ideal build.

To respec in Avowed, head to the menu and select the “Abilities” section. At the bottom, you'll find the “Reset Points” option. The initial cost is 100 Copper Skeyt, which increases as you advance in the game. Confirm your choice, pay the fee, and all your ability points will be reset across all skill trees, except for the “Godlike” abilities, which are determined by in-game choices.

If you're satisfied with your abilities but want to adjust your attributes, or if you're looking to overhaul everything, navigate to the “Character” section in the menu. At the bottom, you'll see a button to respec your attributes, with an initial cost of 100 Copper Skeyt that increases over time. Press the button, pay the cost, and reclaim your Attribute points to redistribute them as you see fit.

How to Respec Your Companion in Avowed

To respec your companion in Avowed, go to the menu, enter the Abilities section, and switch to the “Companions” tab. Under your companion's name, you'll find an icon that, when selected, allows you to respec for a fee in Copper Skeyt. Confirm your choice, and you'll regain all of your companion's points. Remember, you'll need to respec each companion individually.

And that's how you can respec in *Avowed* to tailor your gameplay experience to your liking.
