Avowed Marks First Month with Major Update, Enhanced Features

Just one month after its launch, including its availability on Game Pass, Obsidian and Xbox Game Studios have unveiled a new trailer celebrating Avowed. The video features a compilation of glowing reviews and quotes from gaming journalists, underscoring the enthusiastic reception of the action-RPG.

The latest update introduces support for DLSS 4, incorporating Multi Frame Generation, Super Resolution, and DLAA. These advanced technologies significantly enhance performance, with NVIDIA showcasing up to a threefold increase in frame rates at maximum 4K settings, achieving peaks of 340 FPS. The developers have also hinted at upcoming announcements regarding the game's future support and roadmap in the coming weeks.

This update is not solely focused on technical enhancements—it also improves the player experience. Players will now receive an extra talent point every five levels, and those who have already advanced will have their points retroactively added upon loading the game. Keyboard and mouse users can now toggle between walking and running, and a new accessibility feature increases font sizes in documents, guides, and other in-game text for better readability.

While Avowed didn't completely stun critics, it still secured robust reviews. Digital Foundry hailed the game as a technical "triumph," cementing its status as a remarkable title from Obsidian.
