Ten years of peaceful Sims life comes to an end! Burglars are back in The Sims 4!
In a recent blog post, the developers announced the return of burglaries—a feature that has both excited and unnerved players.
Just like in previous Sims games, installing a home security system is your best bet. Triggering the alarm will summon the police to apprehend the thief. Skilled Sims can upgrade the alarm system for improved reliability and automatic police alerts. If you don't have an alarm, you can always try calling the police yourself (though their arrival time is anyone's guess!). Alternatively, you could attempt to befriend the burglar—a risky but potentially rewarding strategy.
For those with expansion packs, more creative solutions exist. Unleash your pets, summon your spellcaster, or even sic a vampire or werewolf on the intruder! A special freeze ray is also an option for the technologically inclined. However, these more exciting methods require owning the relevant game packs.
The good news? This burglar update is available now, completely free for all players.
