What Is a Cursed Object in Phasmophobia?

Cursed Objects (or "Cursed Possessions") are randomly generated items in Phasmophobia, appearing on various maps depending on game mode and settings. Activation requires locating and interacting with them within the location. Unlike the standard equipment, Cursed Objects offer powerful, albeit risky, advantages. Their abilities, such as pinpointing the ghost's favorite room or boosting your team, always come with a significant drawback. This could be a drastic sanity drop, temporary blindness, or a sudden, perilous "cursed" hunt. Use them wisely – sometimes, leaving them untouched is the best strategy. Note that Cursed Objects won't appear on all difficulty levels or in Challenge Mode.

Phasmophobia currently features seven Cursed Objects, each with unique abilities and debilitating effects. A common consequence is a substantial sanity decrease for the user. Proximity to the user during activation significantly increases the chance of a "cursed hunt." These hunts are identical to regular hunts but ignore your sanity level and last 20 seconds longer, making escape more challenging.

The following table details each Cursed Object and its mechanics. This list will be updated with future additions.
