New Feature Allows Players To Clear Bosses Without Combat

In the upcoming sequel, Death Stranding 2: On The Beach (DS2), players will have the option to sidestep traditional boss fights. During the April 14 episode of Koji Pro's radio broadcasts, DS2 Director Hideo Kojima shared that this new feature is designed to assist less experienced gamers in progressing through the game.

Kojima detailed that players can opt to press "continue" at the game over screen following a failed boss encounter. This choice triggers a sequence of images and text that narrate the battle, akin to a visual novel. This approach ensures that players don't miss out on the story's critical moments, even if they choose not to engage in combat.

Death Stranding 2 Around 95% Complete

Hideo Kojima recently updated fans on the progress of DS2, stating that the game is now approximately 95% complete. He likened the current stage of development to "10 o’clock (PM)" on a 24-hour clock, suggesting that there are just "2 hours left" until the game is finished.

Set to pick up where its predecessor left off, DS2 continues the narrative from the first game. At last month's South by Southwest (SXSW) event, Kojima Productions and Sony unveiled more about DS2, including a 10-minute trailer that highlighted new characters and story elements, sparking excitement among fans.
