"State of Decay 3 Release Delayed to Post-2026"

In the latest episode of the Xbox Two podcast, insider Jez Corden shared an update on the much-anticipated release of State of Decay 3. Originally, the developers at Undead Labs had set their sights on a 2025 launch for this zombie action game. However, according to Corden, fans should now temper their expectations and look towards early 2026 for the game's release.

Despite the delay, Corden reassured listeners that the development of State of Decay 3 is further along than it might appear from the outside. While he didn't delve into specifics, this news suggests that the team is making steady progress.

This shift in release date might be a letdown for eager fans, but it's worth noting that earlier rumors had pegged the release for as late as 2027. In that light, a 2026 launch seems relatively more promising.

The most recent trailer for State of Decay 3, released in June of this year, gave fans a thrilling glimpse into the game's world. It showcased intense gunfights with zombies and introduced post-apocalyptic vehicles reminiscent of the Mad Max franchise, adding a new layer of excitement to the gameplay.

Set many years after the onset of the apocalypse, the game's narrative will follow humanity's struggle to establish secure settlements amidst the constant threat of the undead.

State of Decay 3 is being developed for PC and Xbox Series, continuing the legacy of its predecessor, which was released back in 2018.
