Disco Elysium Mobile Version Launched: ZA/UM Targets TikTok Audience

by Jacob Mar 28,2025

Following the buzz around their newly announced game, Project C4, ZA/UM has now unveiled an exciting mobile version of the critically acclaimed Disco Elysium, exclusively for Android devices. This move is designed to introduce the game to a fresh audience while offering a convenient, on-the-go experience for existing fans. To make the game more accessible, ZA/UM will offer the first two chapters of Disco Elysium for free, with the option to unlock the entire game with a one-time payment, ensuring an ad-free experience.

ZA/UM emphasized their commitment to transparency, stating, "We want players to make an informed decision about their potential purchase." They highlighted their dual role as creators and custodians of the Disco Elysium IP, underscoring their dedication to delivering a quality mobile experience.

Studio head Denis Havel shared an ambitious vision for the mobile version, aiming to capture the attention of the TikTok audience. "We intend to captivate the TikTok user with quick hits of compelling story, art, and audio, ultimately creating an all-new, deeply engaging form of entertainment," Havel stated.

Accompanying the announcement, ZA/UM released a debut trailer and several screenshots showcasing new, immersive 360-degree scenes set in Revachol, designed to place mobile users at the heart of the action. Additionally, the mobile version features new audio with full voiceover, enhancing the already rich character experience.

This is a total re-imagination of the award-winning, gripping psychological RPG Disco Elysium and designed to completely cater to the habits of today's mobile users. This story-rich adventure has been optimized for short play sessions, allowing players to dive in anytime, anyplace on their mobile devices.

Narrative Lead Chris Priestman described the mobile version as "what audiobooks wish they were," emphasizing its suitability for short, engaging bursts of play.

Disco Elysium is set to launch on mobile via Google Android in the summer of 2025. It's important to note, however, that while the studio retains the same name, many key contributors to the original Disco Elysium have since left ZA/UM. Several of these former members are now working on spiritual successors to the game.
