How to Find the Cat Island in Assassin's Creed Shadows

To embark on this feline adventure, you'll need to journey to the Omi region, which you'll reach around the midpoint of the game's story. Ensure your characters are well-prepared and powered up before heading northeast to Omi.

Your destination is Lake Biwa, a vast body of water central to the region. To reach the cat island, it's advisable to secure a boat from nearby settlements like Azuchi or Omizo. Alternatively, you can swim across the lake, though a boat is recommended for ease and speed.

Finding the Cat Island in Assassin's Creed Shadows

Your target is the larger island in the middle of Lake Biwa, located just northwest of Azuchi. Upon reaching this island, known as Okishima, you'll discover a Kakurega where you can rest. The presence of fish drying near the docks hints at the abundance of food for a particular type of animal.

To immerse yourself in the feline paradise on Okishima, head north towards the Leap of Faith. As you ascend, you'll encounter more and more cats. Don't miss the chance to pet them, as this will add these charming creatures to your collection for use in the Hideout. Keep an eye out for rare kittens, which are particularly elusive elsewhere.

While most Leaps of Faith reveal new locations on your map, the true treasure on Okishima is the companionship of these cats. After exploring and taking the Leap of Faith into the haystack, there's little else to do on the island except to enjoy the company of your new feline friends. You'll also revisit Okishima later in Yasuke's storyline, adding another layer of excitement to your journey.
