Jingle Hells in Black Ops 6 Zombies: Weapon Upgrades, Ammo Mods, and Support

The festive Jingle Hells mode in Black Ops 6 Zombies offers a holiday makeover of Liberty Falls, but also alters weapon progression and upgrade mechanics. This guide details how to upgrade weapons and obtain Ammo Mods and Support items.

Weapon Upgrades in Jingle Hells

Unlike the standard Black Ops 6 Zombies experience, the Arsenal Machine is absent in Jingle Hells. Weapon upgrades are achieved using Aether Tools, consumable items with varying rarity tiers (color-coded). Using a higher-tier Aether Tool (e.g., Purple/Legendary) upgrades your weapon to that rarity level. Here's how to acquire Aether Tools:

  • Church Spire: Throw a grenade at the zombie head atop the church spire. The resulting zombie drop contains loot, including a chance at an Aether Tool. Higher round numbers increase the chance of a higher-rarity Aether Tool.
  • Bank Vault: Loot Keys unlock safety deposit boxes in the Bank Vault, which may contain Aether Tools.
  • S.A.M. Trials: Completing S.A.M. Trials, particularly at higher reward tiers, offers a chance to receive Aether Tools.
  • Hidden Power GobbleGum: Instantly upgrades your weapon to Legendary rarity.
  • Mystery Box, Wall Buys, Holiday Presents: Weapons obtained from these sources increase in rarity as the round progresses.

Ammo Mods in Jingle Hells

Currently, Cryo Freeze is the only available Ammo Mod in Jingle Hells. It drops as a consumable item and is primarily obtained from Holiday Presents, which contain random loot with increasing rarity at higher rounds. Holiday Presents can be found in several ways:

  • Enemy Kills: Sometimes drop upon killing enemies.
  • Naughty or Nice Power-up: The stocking-shaped power-up grants either a "Nice" or "Naughty" UI banner. "Nice" drops multiple Holiday Presents, while "Naughty" spawns numerous vermin enemies.
  • S.A.M. Machine: Spawns Holiday Presents around its location.

Equipment and Support in Jingle Hells

The Workbench is also absent in Jingle Hells, eliminating Salvage-based equipment crafting. However, equipment and Support items (like Chopper Gunners, etc.) can still be acquired:

  • Enemy Kills: Equipment drops from regular enemies.
  • Holiday Presents: Can contain equipment.
  • Special/Elite Enemy Kills: Support items drop from these enemies.
  • S.A.M. Trials: Award equipment and Support.
  • Bank Vault Deposit Boxes: May contain equipment and Support.
