Dredge\'s mobile port delayed until next year but a closed beta test is planned for December

by Eleanor Jan 05,2025

Dredge's mobile release delayed until February 2025, but a new closed beta is now open!

Fans eagerly awaiting the mobile port of Black Salt Games' Lovecraftian fishing horror, Dredge, will need to wait a little longer. The release has been pushed back to February 2025. However, to soften the blow, Black Salt Games has announced a new closed beta test with open registration.

In Dredge, players take on the role of a fisherman in the eerie town of Greater Marrow. Initially, the task is straightforward – fishing and selling your catch. But the tranquil fishing quickly turns unsettling as players encounter bizarre sea creatures, mysterious entities, and a creeping sense of dread on a nearby island, threatening to unravel their sanity.

Interested in participating in the closed beta? Sign up via this Google Form. Despite the delay, the numerous awards and critical acclaim Dredge has received on other platforms make the wait worthwhile for those who haven't yet experienced this unique blend of fishing and horror.

A challenging port

The delay is understandable, considering the complexity of adapting Dredge's expansive world to mobile devices. However, the additional closed beta is a smart move, allowing for valuable player feedback and ensuring a polished mobile experience.
