In *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2*, the ongoing feud between Prochek and Olbram threatens to erupt into a full-blown brawl during the "Battle of the Frogs and Mice" side quest. But don't worry, you can intervene and bring peace to these warring factions. Here's how to stop the feud and achieve a more satisfying resolution.
This side quest unlocks after completing either the Mice or Frogs quests for Prochek and Olbram. Finish one of those quests, and the next chapter of this conflict will begin. Simply speak to Prochek in Tachov or Olbram in Zhelejov to initiate the "Battle of the Frogs and Mice" quest. After accepting, head to the pasture to begin the main event.
Once again, Henry faces a difficult choice. You can choose to support either Prochek or Olbram, engaging in a fight to defend their honor. To side with Prochek, tell him "Let's get those Zhelejovites!" in Tachov. To side with Olbram, say "Let's go and see those Tachovites!" in Zhelejov. During the ensuing confrontation at the pasture, a successful dialogue check can cause one side to retreat, making the battle easier. Victory for either side yields a small groschen reward.
For a more peaceful resolution, speak to Prochek or Olbram before heading to the pasture and ask about ending the feud. Then, journey to Troskowitz and speak with Bailiff Thrush. Choose the dialogue option, "You’d finally have some peace."
A successful dialogue check allows you to access the Troskowitz Chronicle in the scribe's room. If persuasion fails, consider sneaking in (save your game first!). Speak with the scribe and select the dialogue option: "Fecit, ordinem in regione ope clavi ferrei."
Next, locate three oak trees in a row at the pasture. Examine the middle tree to discover a nail. You have three choices: leave the nail in the middle (equal division), place it in the west tree (favoring Tachov), or place it in the east tree (favoring Zhelejov). The choice doesn't significantly impact the outcome, so select your preference. Inform Bailiff Thrush of your decision; he'll agree to end the feud. Finally, speak with Prochek or Olbram to bring them to the pasture, officially ending the conflict.
You'll receive the "Master Studies I" book as a reward from Bailiff Thrush after the feud is resolved. This concludes your efforts to bring peace to the pasture. For more Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 guides and tips, check out The Escapist.
