Players can start upgrading their weapons early in the game, eliminating the need to depend solely on mission rewards or enemy drops. This guide provides detailed steps on how to upgrade both weapons and accessories in Freedom Wars Remastered.

How To Upgrade Weapons In Freedom Wars Remastered

To begin upgrading your weapons in Freedom Wars Remastered, you'll need to advance through the main storyline until you achieve Level 002 Code Clearance. At this point, as a CODE 2 Sinner, you'll unlock the Facility Management Function through the Personal Responsibility Portal. Head to the Weapon Development Facility to manage your arsenal. Upgrading requires specific resources and Entitlement Points, but you can lower these costs by recruiting a Citizen. Different Citizens offer varying reduction rates based on their Facility Manager Aptitude, making the system user-friendly once you get the hang of it.

Before finalizing an upgrade, you'll be shown a preview of the changes to your weapon's stats. The Weapon Development Facility also enables you to add Elements and experiment with Modules and Module Slots. To elevate a weapon to a higher Grade, you must first purchase the necessary permit from the Claim Entitlement tab on the Window of Liberty.

The significant damage difference between weapons of different Grades further motivates players to invest time in upgrading their gear.
