Game of Thrones: Kingsroad announces closed beta test coming this month

by Alexis Mar 25,2025

Netmarble is set to launch the closed beta for their much-anticipated game, *Game of Thrones: Kingsroad*, inspired by George R.R. Martin's iconic book series and the HBO series. Scheduled to kick off on January 15th and run until January 22nd, the beta will be available in the US, Canada, and select European regions. Android users can now sign up for this exclusive testing phase!

Unlike previous mobile adaptations of *Game of Thrones* that focused on strategy and high-level intrigue, *Kingsroad* offers a unique third-person action and adventure experience. Players assume the role of an heir to the obscure House Tyre, embarking on a journey across Westeros. This journey involves battling enemies and earning prestige through a series of intriguing events.

The game's trailer suggests a *Witcher*-like experience, featuring third-person exploration and combat. Players can choose from three distinct classes: the Sellsword, Knight, and Assassin, each offering unique gameplay mechanics. While the visuals and concept look promising, the true test will be the gameplay experience itself.
