Speculation was rife that the event would include announcements about remasters of classic God of War titles, a rumor that was even supported by well-known insider and journalist Jeff Grubb. This led to a wave of anticipation among the fanbase, prompting Santa Monica Studio to issue an official statement:

"Pantheons collide! We’re thrilled to present a lineup of Greek and Norse characters for this panel celebrating the 20th anniversary of God of War where we’ll reflect on the past two decades of the series. Given the star-studded lineup and the anticipation surrounding this milestone, we want to make it clear that no announcements are planned for this event." - Santa Monica Studio

Instead of new game announcements, fans were delighted with the release of new thematic artwork showcasing Kratos alongside Jörmungandr. The event will also feature special appearances by actors from the God of War series, including Terrence Carson, the voice behind Kratos, and Carole Ruggier, who lent her voice to Athena. This panel is set to take place on March 22, promising a nostalgic and celebratory look back at the series' rich history.
