New GTA Online Content Drop Unveiled

Rockstar Games has officially released the Bottom Dollar Bounties update for Grand Theft Auto Online across PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. The huge summer update was announced earlier this month and launches alongside patch 1.69 for Grand Theft Auto 5, bringing with it loads of new content for Grand Theft Auto Online players.

Even though it's nearly a decade old, GTA Online continues to be a multiplayer juggernaut. Usually, the game receives two big content updates every year during the summer and winter periods. Contrary to expectations, however, player engagement for GTA Online has held steady even after the confirmation of a fall 2025 launch for Grand Theft Auto 6. The studio also seems intent on supporting the game with the release of the latest Bottom Dollar Bounties update, and possibly another DLC at the end of 2024.

Revealed earlier in June, GTA Online's Bottom Dollar Bounties update brings back Maude Eccles from GTA 5's single-player mode, where she offered bounties to Trevor for capturing criminals. Maude's daughter, Jenette, will also be featured in the DLC, and players will take on the role of "the new lead dog" for the co-owned Bottom Dollar Bail Enforcement business, allowing them to carry out bounty hunting work. The update also introduces three new law enforcement vehicles that can be used in new Dispatch Work missions for LSPD officer Vincent Effenburger.

Bottom Dollar Bounties DLC Features New Missions, Cars, and Increased Payouts

New Drift upgrades for select vehicles are also available, and the Rockstar Creator receives new tools and props as well. Additionally, the Rockstar Newswire blog for the update mentions increased base payouts for several in-game activities, namely Open Wheel Races, Taxi Work, A Superyacht Life, Lowriders Missions, Operation Paper Trail, Casino Story Missions, Gerald’s Last Play, Madrazo’s Dispatch Services, Premium Deluxe Repo Work, and Project Overthrow. Solo players will also benefit from an increased timer during Gunrunning and Biker Sell Missions, and the update introduces the following nine vehicles:

Enus Paragon S (Sports) – With Imani Tech Bollokan Envisage (Sports) – With Imani Tech Übermacht Niobe (Sports) – With HSW Upgrade (PS5 and Xbox Series X/S only) Annis Euros X32 (Coupe) – With HSW Upgrade (PS5 and Xbox Series X/S only) Invetero Coquette D1 (Sports Classic) Declasse Yosemite 1500 (Off-Road) Declasse Impaler SZ Cruiser (Emergency) – Law Enforcement Vehicle Bravado Dorado Cruiser (Emergency) – Law Enforcement Vehicle Bravado Greenwood Cruiser (Emergency) – Law Enforcement Vehicle

The free Bottom Dollar Bounties update adds a plethora of new content to GTA Online, and the increased payouts for existing activities could also be a worthwhile incentive for many players to return. With the game still going strong, it remains to be seen how long Rockstar plans to support it, as well as how it would handle Grand Theft Auto 6's inevitable online mode.
