Mastering Mounts in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2: A Guide to Acquiring Your Steed

Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2's expansive world can feel overwhelming initially, making traversing its vast landscapes a challenge. This guide provides two methods for obtaining a horse: reclaiming your original or acquiring a new one.

Reclaiming Pebbles:

Your starting horse, Pebbles, can be retrieved from the horse trader in Semine (south of the map). However, securing her return requires either paying Groschen, employing persuasion, or intimidation. Successfully completing the main questline and aligning with Radovan the blacksmith might provide the necessary social standing to persuade the trader without financial cost, though this may impact your reputation.

Stealing a Horse:

Alternatively, you can acquire a horse through less conventional means. While wild horses are scarce, farms and stables offer opportunities. However, theft carries the risk of being apprehended.

A viable option involves the farmhouse near Vidlak Pond (west of the map), where two horses are available for the taking. Simply mount one and ride away.

Subsequently, visit the Nomads' Camp (east of Vidlak Pond) and engage with the horse trainer NPC. He can teach you how to saddle and tame your newly acquired steed, though a fee is required for his services. Alternatively, you can ride the horse unsaddled.
