This incredible achievement for Warhorse Studios' medieval RPG sequel, released February 4th on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S, is further underscored by its Steam performance. Embracer Group, Warhorse's parent company, reported over 250,000 peak concurrent players on Steam alone—a figure significantly exceeding the first Kingdom Come: Deliverance's peak of 96,069 seven years prior. The actual peak concurrent player count is undoubtedly higher, considering console sales, though those numbers remain undisclosed by platform holders.

Embracer highlighted Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2's overall success, praising both player and critical reception alongside strong sales performance. CEO Lars Wingefors attributed this to the dedication of Warhorse Studios and publisher Deep Silver, expressing confidence in continued strong revenue generation over the coming years. He emphasized the game's exceptional quality, immersive experience, and broad appeal, citing a robust roadmap of updates and new content planned for the next 12 months.

This roadmap includes three expansions slated for 2025. Spring will bring free updates featuring a barbershop with customization options, Hardcore Mode, and Horse Racing. Summer introduces the first paid expansion, "Brushes with Death," following Henry as he assists a mysterious artist. Autumn delivers "Legacy of the Forge," exploring Henry's adoptive father's past. Finally, winter sees the release of "Mysteria Ecclesia," a covert mission within the Sedlec Monastery.
