Konosuba: FD Shuts Down, Offline Version Teased

KonoSuba: Fantastic Days is shutting down its servers on January 30th, 2025, ending a nearly five-year run. Both global and Japanese servers will close simultaneously. However, a limited offline version is reportedly under development, allowing players to revisit the main storyline, key quests, and events. Details on this offline version remain scarce.

Refunds and In-App Purchases:

The developers are ceasing operations gracefully. Official channels will close February 28th, 2025, while in-app purchases were disabled on October 31st, 2024. Existing Quartz and in-game items remain usable until the service ends. Players eligible for refunds on unused Quartz or unclaimed purchases from early 2024 can apply until January 30th, 2025.

A Look Back at KonoSuba: Fantastic Days:

Launched in Japan in February 2020 and globally in August 2021, KonoSuba: Fantastic Days was the first mobile game based on the popular KonoSuba franchise. The game featured a charming story, appealing visuals, and a visual novel-style story mode, set in a world threatened by the Devil King's army.

Unfortunately, like many gacha RPGs, KonoSuba: Fantastic Days succumbed to the pressures of maintaining player engagement and high production costs. This mirrors a trend seen this year with several anime-based games facing closure.

If you haven't experienced KonoSuba: Fantastic Days, you have a few months left to play before the servers shut down. Download it now from the Google Play Store.
