Lies of P DLC and Sequel Announced: A Director's Message and a Glimpse of What's to Come

Director Ji-Won Choi recently shared exciting news for fans of the steampunk Soulslike game, Lies of P. In a heartfelt message celebrating the game's anniversary, Choi revealed upcoming DLC and a planned sequel.

The DLC: Expanding the Krat Experience

Choi expressed deep gratitude to the community, highlighting their unwavering support as the development team worked diligently through Korea's summer heat. He promised the DLC will build upon the base game's strengths while addressing previously identified issues. The goal, he stated, is to refine existing elements and improve areas needing further development.

"For the DLC and the sequel, we aim to excel in what we did well and grow where we can," Choi wrote. "It sounds simple, but mastering the fundamentals is far from easy." He also extended thanks to Team NOUGH and ROUND8 Studio.

A tantalizing sneak peek was included: concept art depicting P in a snowy location, gazing at a lighthouse. This suggests a new, potentially perilous, environment. Furthermore, a new musical piece from the DLC's soundtrack was unveiled. While labeled "new," the song "Lisrim" by onoken was actually composed in 2022, and its connection to Lies of P's musical style is clear. NEOWIZ owns the rights to both songs, and the accompanying music video hints at more action-packed adventures.

DLC Release Date and Beyond

While a precise release date remains unannounced, NEOWIZ's Q1 2024 Earnings Results indicate a launch during the second half of 2024. This is alongside four other NEOWIZ titles: The Legend of Heroes: Gagharv Trilogy, Cats & Soup: Malang Town, Cats & Soup: Magic Recipe, and Project IG.

Last November, an eight-minute video showcased additional concept art, revealing early designs for an industrial facility and a wrecked ship, further hinting at the DLC's scope.

Choi concluded by assuring fans that their anticipation will be rewarded. This DLC is only the beginning, as a full sequel is already in the works.
