Fatshark is gearing up to thrill Warhammer 40,000: Darktide fans with the announcement of their next major content update, aptly named Nightmares & Visions. Scheduled for release on March 25, 2025, across all platforms, this expansion promises to deepen the game's immersive experience with a new activity crafted by the mysterious Seferon. The standout feature of this update is the introduction of Mortis Trials, a thrilling wave-based combat challenge set within psychic visions created by the ship's psyker. Each trial will be unique, thanks to procedurally generated buffs and abilities that players can choose before starting their run.
By participating in these Mortis Trials, players can uncover exclusive insights into characters connected to the Mourning Star storyline, adding a rich layer of narrative to the gameplay. Alongside Mortis Trials, the Havoc Mode will be enhanced with four new mutators designed to ramp up the challenge and keep players on their toes. Ogryn enthusiasts are in for a treat as well, with an overhauled talent tree that promises to refine and enhance their playstyle to new heights.
To mark the launch of Nightmares & Visions, Fatshark will host a limited-time event starting on the same day as the update's release. Fans can look forward to more details about this exciting expansion in the coming weeks. Warhammer 40,000: Darktide is currently available on PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PS5, ensuring that players on various platforms can dive into the new content.
