*League of Legends* has launched an exciting new minigame within its client, available until the end of April. If you're familiar with *Balatro*, you'll quickly grasp how to play the Demon’s Hand card game in *League of Legends*.

League of Legends Demon’s Hand Set-Up and Getting Started

To dive into this thrilling mode, ensure your *League* client is updated to the latest version. Once updated, click the Play button to access the game type menu and select Demon’s Hand. This will introduce you to the narrative behind the game mode and kickstart your first round of the card game.

Your hand is displayed on the bottom row of cards. In the bottom right corner, you'll find your health, coins, and percent crit chance. Above this, you'll see the Sigil box, where you can have up to six Sigils active at once, though you start with none. Remember, your health doesn't automatically restore after each battle; instead, you'll need to visit tent locations on the map to regain a percentage of your health.

The enemy card appears at the top, with its health shown in the bottom right and its damage in the bottom left. To the left of the enemy card, you'll see an attack coin indicating how many hands you can play before the enemy strikes back. On the left edge of the screen, there's a book that lists all the hands you can play as attacks and their base damage in a standard round.

To inflict damage, you'll need to play poker hands, which have unique names in Demon’s Hand but follow the same principles. The pinnacle hand is The Demon’s Hand, equivalent to a royal flush. Below is a list of the hands you can play along with their corresponding poker terminology and base damage:

  • Solo = High Card (10 Base Damage)
  • Dyad = Pair (20 Base Damage)
  • Dyad Set = Two Pair (40 Base Damage)
  • Triad = Three of a Kind (80 Base Damage)
  • Tetrad = Four of a Kind (100 Base Damage)
  • March = Straight (125 Base Damage)
  • Horde = Flush (175 Base Damage)
  • Grand Warhost = Full House (400 Base Damage)
  • Marching Horde = Straight Flush (600 Base Damage)
  • The Demon’s Hand = Royal Flush (2000 Base Damage)

In addition to the base damage, the numerical value of each card adds to the total damage dealt. If the enemy has a special ability that nullifies a specific suit, those cards will be crossed out. You can still use them, but their numerical value won't contribute to the damage.

Spice Up Your Attacks with Sigils

Sigils are crucial for enhancing your gameplay. They are purchased during store phases, indicated by coins on the map. You earn coins by defeating enemies and then use them to buy Sigils. Each Sigil offers a unique ability, visible when you hover over them in the store or during a round. Some Sigils amplify specific hands, like boosting the damage of Dyads, while others might grant you additional turns before the enemy attacks or reduce the damage you receive.

This guide covers everything you need to know to play the Demon’s Hand card game in *League of Legends*. If this minigame isn't your cup of tea, don't miss out on the upcoming April Fools skins, which promise to add a fun twist to your Summoner’s Rift experience.
