MCU Movies Ranked: A Tier List

by Benjamin Apr 17,2025

With the release of *Captain America: Brave New World*, it's the perfect time to delve once again into the expansive Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), which now boasts an impressive lineup of 35 films. Which of these MCU films holds a special place in your heart? Do you have a fondness for the early origin stories like *Iron Man*, or do you thrill to the epic team-ups that concluded the Infinity Saga? Share your thoughts using our convenient tier list tool below.

There's a vast array of movies to choose from, and remember, we're focusing solely on entries from Kevin Feige's MCU empire, so no Sony Marvel films this time (sorry, X-Men fans—except for Wolverine, of course). Below is my personal tier list, crafted based on the films I've most enjoyed over the years:

Simon Cardy's MCU Tier List

Unfortunately, *Captain America: Brave New World* didn't meet my expectations, landing in the D tier due to what I believe is the clunkiest script in the MCU to date. As for the rest of the bottom tier, my placement of 2024's *Deadpool & Wolverine* might surprise some, but it simply didn't resonate with me. You can find my detailed reasoning for this here. While I don't consider it the worst the MCU has produced, *Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania* easily earns its spot in the D tier, marking the current low point for the franchise.

On the other end of the spectrum, the top tier is reserved for the five films I consider truly exceptional. Both *Captain America: Civil War* and *Winter Soldier* are undisputed S-tiers for me, as they brilliantly capture the emotional essence and the tense atmosphere of espionage within the MCU. Then there's *Thor: Ragnarok*, a standout comedy of the past decade, and of course, *Avengers: Infinity War* and *Endgame*, which masterfully concluded the most crucial chapter of the series.

If you disagree with my rankings—perhaps you believe *No Way Home* is the pinnacle of the Tom Holland Spider-Man trilogy or that *Black Panther* deserves an S-tier—why not create your own tier list? You can rank all the MCU movies and compare your S, A, B, C, and D tiers with the entire IGN community.
