Many dungeons in Metaphor: ReFantazio feature formidable mini-bosses before the final encounter. Even with dedicated grinding, these enemies, often highlighted red in Fairy Sight, necessitate squad combat.

The Faithwight Magileto in the Spire of Blind Faith is a prime example of such a challenging foe. Victory requires a well-executed strategy and a bit of luck.

Strike Light Pierce Electric

This level 50 enemy can summon additional level 50 enemies, making battles challenging below level 45.

Faithwight Magiletos utilize potent dark and light magic, affecting either single targets or the entire party. Megidolaon, a devastating party-wide attack, inflicts significant damage. Passive buffs amplify the damage of these three elements. The Magileto also uses Soul Scream for four Press Turn icons per turn and summons level 50 skeletons.

These summoned skeletons possess strong slashing attacks, dark magic, and potent buffs, including access to high-level healing spells, often restoring the Magileto to full health. Their weakness is Strike attacks. Prioritizing these attacks is crucial for victory.

Strategies for Defeating Faithwight Magileto in Metaphor: ReFantazio

Even at level 50, this battle is exceptionally difficult; below that level, it's nearly impossible. Preparation is key:

  • Acquire Dark Dodge from the Magic Knight.
  • Acquire Light Dodge from the Healer Archetype.
  • Skill Inherit Strike skills from the Brawler Archetype.
  • Utilize the Warlock Archetype's resistance to dark and light damage.
  • Leverage the Thief Archetype's dark damage resistance.
  • Carry Tetrabreak to counter Tetrakarn used by summoned enemies.

Archetype selection is less critical than maximizing the above points and avoiding weaknesses to dark, light, or slash damage. With numerous Archetypes unlocked, prioritize Strength-heavy Archetypes and Skill Inheritance. Ensure at least two party members possess party-wide healing spells, and equip everyone with Strike attacks to maximize Press Turn Icons and mitigate damage.

Some luck is unavoidable, as consecutive Megidolaons are nearly unsurvivable. Equipping Dark and Light Dodge on most party members helps mitigate damage and shorten enemy turns. Eliminate summoned allies swiftly before they heal the Magileto. Dekaja can dispel enemy buffs. Aim for at least six Strike attacks and two party-wide healing spells each turn.
