Navigating the choices in *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2*, particularly within the main and side quests, can be tricky. This guide focuses on the Post Scriptum side quest and whether you should assist the miners.
Post Scriptum begins in the Kuttenberg region. Locate the tavern west of Kuttenberg city and speak with Kvyertsolav to initiate the quest. You'll be tasked with writing a letter for the miners, but the situation is far from straightforward.
Head to the Kuttenberg house to help Kvyertsolav compose the letter. Select the dialogue option, “Justice is worth more than silver.” You can choose to refine the letter, leave it as is, or make it more aggressive; the outcome remains the same. After writing, the miners may attempt to attack. A successful Speech check will allow you to escape.
If you survive the miners' attack, you can choose to turn them over to the baliff. This ends the quest immediately, rewarding you with 100 groschen. However, this isn't the optimal outcome or reward, so it's not recommended. Instead, deliver the letter to Markold.
Speak with Markold's bodyguard to gain access to Markold. You can blackmail him, give him the letter directly, or cooperate with him to subdue the miners. Blackmailing Markold is difficult due to a challenging Speech check and prematurely ends the quest.
Helping Markold involves killing three miners, yielding a meager 60 groschen—the worst possible outcome.
The recommended approach is to deliver the letter to Markold as intended. He’ll give you seven groschen and instruct you to meet miners north of the city. Meet them, proceed to their camp, and speak with Myslibor. Markold will attack; aid the miners in defeating him to complete the quest. This yields a reward of 160 groschen and helps the miners improve their working conditions.
This concludes your guide on whether to assist the miners in the Post Scriptum quest of Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2. For more game tips and information, including advice on siding with Semine and a guide to romance options, visit The Escapist.
