Monopoly-Inspired D&D Mashup Debuts in Soft Launch

by Eleanor Dec 11,2024

My.Games, the studio behind hits like Rush Royale and Left to Survive, has unveiled a fresh take on dice-rolling board games: Monoloot. Blending the familiar mechanics of Monopoly Go with the depth of Dungeons & Dragons, Monoloot offers a unique twist on the genre.

Currently soft-launched in select regions (Brazil and the Philippines, Android only), Monoloot: Dice and Journey plunges players into a world of RPG-style battles, castle building, and hero upgrades. Unlike its Monopoly Go counterpart, Monoloot departs significantly from the original formula, incorporating innovative gameplay mechanics.

Players assemble and command their own army of powerful characters, engaging in vibrant battles rendered in a captivating blend of 2D and 3D graphics. The game’s colorful visuals and clear nods to classic tabletop RPGs make it a promising title. The strategic depth, combined with engaging visuals and compelling gameplay, sets Monoloot apart.

The recent decline in Monopoly Go's popularity, while not necessarily a fall from grace, presents a strategic opportunity for Monoloot. The success of Monopoly Go's dice mechanics clearly influenced Monoloot's design, offering a compelling alternative for players seeking a fresh, yet familiar, gaming experience. If you're looking for a new mobile gaming adventure, or if Monopoly Go hasn't quite hit the mark, Monoloot is definitely worth exploring (provided you're in a supported region). For those outside these regions, numerous other exciting new mobile games are available.
