Monster Hunter unveils Season 3: 'Curse of the Wandering Flames'

Monster Hunter unveils Season 3:

Autumn arrives, bringing with it not falling leaves, but monstrous challenges in Monster Hunter Now's Season 3: Curse of the Wandering Flames, launching September 12th, 2024, at 12 AM (UTC).

Season 3 introduces formidable foes: Magnamalo, Rajang, and Aknosom, testing even veteran hunters. Previously unlocked via urgent quests, these beasts will now roam freely. Rajang might even appear in Hunt-a-thons, though relying on the Monster Tracker for this one is ill-advised – skill and luck are your best allies.

A new Heavy Bowgun adds long-range firepower, boasting two Special Skills: Wyvernheart shots or the powerful Wyvernsnipe. Season 3 also finally introduces cooking, allowing players to craft Well-Done Steaks with unique in-game benefits. New hunter medals, equipment, and skills, including the Hellfire Cloak, further enhance gameplay.

However, some monsters are taking a temporary break. Radobaan, Banbaro, Tzitzi-Ya-Ku, and others will be absent at Season 3's launch, but will return via urgent quests.

Limited-time in-game packs, including the Recovery Bargain Pack and Hunt Support Pack, will be available from September 2nd to October 6th. Download Monster Hunter Now from the Google Play Store and prepare for the hunt! For more gaming news, check out our coverage of Ash of Gods: The Way, now available on Android.
